What is Coaching?

First, here's what Coaching is not. Coaching is not  psychotherapy or counseling, nor is it training or consulting. Coaching, itself is a separate profession that focuses on the present and on what you need to do in order to create the future you want. This involves clarifying your values and your goals among other things. The coach facilitates this process by asking provocative questions, offering honest feedback and inspiring you with new ideas, concepts, strategies and frameworks that help reorient you around success, as you define it. Throughout the process, the coach offers a supportive environment by championing you when things are moving forward and respecting you when progress gets stalled.

It's having accountability without guilt, someone to cheer you on and someone to help you plan for and deal with setbacks or obstacles that often derail the best laid plans, so you can stay on track and keep moving forward.

The focus on realistic, sustainable changes is a key component to the coaching process. Science has shown that we are all made up of energy, even your thoughts have energy. When you set a goal and you don't seem to make any progress with it most times you are having doubts about reaching that goal. It's like stepping on the gas then immediately stepping on the brake, you don't get very far. There are many methods to stop stepping on the brake so you can get where you want to go. I will help you identify the obstacle and find a way to move it out of your way. Together we'll identify ways to get into your energy flow and identify priorities and goals in one or more areas.

Individual, Group, Laser, and Career Coaching are available through Weddle Performance Group!

What Are People Saying About Coaching?

"Coaches act as a mirror, helping people to work out what they want, what they are good at, what they are bad at, where and how they can improve." - Financial Times

"Coaching is an action-oriented partnership that concentrates on where you are today and how you can reach your goals." - Time Magazine

"It's the coach's job to hold up your goal, shine the light on your path, and say 'Yes, but what about this?'" - Health Magazine

Where Are You Now?

No matter where you are in life, there is always a desire for more . . .

More success, more money, better skills, closer relationships, deeper feeling of meaning in life at home and at work. It is the nature of people to want to attain more and be more. We all struggle with how to get what we're looking for, personally and professionally.

You might believe that “hard work and doing it on your own” are the keys to finding the life, success, money, or happiness that you seek. Although this effort may result in more of something, it is often not the something you had in mind.

Are you paying the price of poor health, too little time to enjoy life, strained family relationships, lessened productivity, or low morale to achieve what you want?

Where Do You Want To Be?

A professional coach does just what an athletic coach or teacher does, but more completely. A coach takes time to find out what winning in life means to you.

Whether you seek coaching as an individual or for your organization, I am your partner—guiding, supporting, challenging, and providing a process to help you get to where you want to be.

    management, interpersonal, and team skills.

  • Organizations assimilating key employees to new roles or work environments.

What Do My Clients Receive?

  • Initial consultation, with organizational representatives when appropriate, to clarify and align individual coaching with business goals.
  • Assessments and exercises for self-awareness, discovery, creative thinking, and development.

  • Goal setting and action planning.
  • Coaching for action by telephone or in person on a weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly basis.

For Organizations

If your organization is interested in coaching, I suggest that you:

  • Try a complimentary coaching session yourself, to experience the benefits first hand.
  • Choose a pilot group of 3-10 key employees who will volunteer to receive coaching. After you have clear results and buy in from this group, coaching can be extended to other groups or individuals.
  • Schedule a one-hour group coaching session—either during business hours or at lunchtime.

Coaching has been shown to increase productivity more than 300% over training alone.(Olivero, Bane, & Kopleman: 1997)

Hello, my name is Jane Weddle. I am a professional who enjoys coaching a wide range of people, including professionals, managers, executives, entrepreneurs, and business owners.

I have 18 years' experience in human performance improvement, organizational development, training, group facilitation, and coaching in areas ranging from state government to global manufacturing.

As a coach, I believe that we humans are great, that we’re all discovering what we really want, and that we can get what we want faster and easier by having a coach.

A study conducted in 1997 concluded that coaching and training combined produced a productivity increase of 88% while training alone produced increases of 22.4% (Olivero, Bane & Kopelmann; Public Personnel Management, Washington.)

I serve as a neutral sounding board, confidant, challenger, supporter, and motivator to really listen and give honest feedback. I provide the tools, processes, and questions to get you from where you are to where you want to be.

The possibilities and benefits of coaching are endless . . . so please ask! Each coaching client is unique so coaching is very customizable to your situation and needs.

Individual, Laser and Group Coaching Programs are available—please call for more information.
